My name is Nicole DeVincentis, I am an aspiring editor who hopes to work in the publication industry soon, with a bachelor’s in Communication and Writing. I write mostly fiction and fan fiction, but I’ve also dabbled in poetry a bit. I’ve had a love of reading since I was old enough to make sense of the words on the page, and it’s where my love for writing comes from. I’m passionate about many things: movies, music, nature walks, martial arts, culture, and more. But ultimately, my passion lies with writing. I believe it is the gateway to the creative mind, and sometimes to the occassionally, elusive subconscious. More than that, I hope to hone my craft, and I’ve been told many times how much reading will improve my writing skills. This is correct. The more you read and write, the more skilled you become. But I love writing for another reason. It allows you to lower your defensive walls, when you feel insecure. In writing, there is no such thing as insecurity; there’s only your imagination, and the pen.
