From the look of this article, Chipotle isn’t doing so well. It’s also clear that they are doing everything they can in order to win back their customers. Their revenue just keeps dropping. I think the buy-one-get-one-free deals are a good idea, especially mailing them out. It encourages enticement for their customers to come back in. A good idea might be to have someone famous, someone from the news, a sportsman, or anyone come in and sample the food. Customers look up to anyone who is in front of the camera. Once they see them on the big screen saying how much they love the food, I think it’s safe to say that they will win back a lot of their customers.
I don’t know anything about running a business, but I have to say that I’m not sure it’s the right move opening over 200 restaurants in the next few months. But I do think it is admirable that Chipotle has such high expectations for itself in the coming months. It won’t get anywhere, if the people who run and staff the restaurants don’t believe that they will get back on track. I do wonder about the staffs though, have they had to replace anyone, or cut down on staff numbers from all of the hits to the revenue?
